Have you had any friends or relatives bring their laptops to your home and have they connected wirelessly and suffered the same problem that would point to the SH if that were the case?

Would not want to impose on friends and family.Maybe you could help with another matter if you are agreeable. The driver for my network adaptor is a Atheros AR5007EG dated 9/6/2009.Tried device manager but it just keeps telling me I have the latest driver yet on another forum I was given a web address that says there is a driver dated 10.0.0.221 that is dated 27/11/2012.The only fly in the ointment is that it also wants to download a load of junk.Any advice?.

Understand you do not want to impose on friends or relatives but without testing other computers to see if they have the same issue when connected to the SH then you cannot say it is definitely the SH at fault.

I was under the impression you had installed the latest drivers but follow the link below the first in the list is the 10.0.0.221 version of the driver and download the correct one either x86(32-bit) or x64(64-bit) whichever version of Windows 7 you have. It is a good idea to update the driver as the version you have is old.

When I go into device manager to check the network adapter I am told the 2009 driver is the updated one.Tried the web address you gave me and downloaded the zipped file but when I try to open it I receive the message "Zip is invalid, folder is empty".Where do I go from there?.

The files are there i just downloaded the zip file and opened it up and all files were there.

Try downloading winrar from the link below and install it and then open it up.

Too much baggage please explain as the files in there are normal for that download?

With zip files you open up the zip and then click relevant option to extract files that is it nothing more simple.

Then click on setup file and driver will install.

My fault because I thought I had told you that I finally opened the zip only to be told that it was empty so it makes me wonder what the hell is going on.

Don't know why the zip showed invalid maybe a problem somewhere what zip program are you using just the inbuilt one in windows try installing winrar from link i gave you.

Then re-download the file and choose to open with winrar and see what happens.
