    Ethernet wall outlet stopped working

I've had a computer plugged into an Ethernet port for a few years, but suddenly it seems to have stopped working. I've tried plugging another computer into the port, and it cannot connect either, so I know it's not the computer, and other ports in the house also work. My question is, can I fix it, and if so, how?
    Thanks in advance

    Welcome to the Seven Forums.

Unscrew the cover plate and see if there are any obvious lose wires. It is kind of hard to answer the question of "can you fix it" without knowing how easy/hard it is to get to the wiring. If you end up needed to pull a new cable and you have very little crawl space above the room, then you might want a pro to handle the job for you.

No, all wires are attached. I plan on getting a wireless reciever instead, and forget the outlet altogether.
    Thanks for the help though
