NVIDIA Drivers Stops Remote Desktop working ??

I can't REMOTE DESKTOP to my ASRock ION 330 from my other Windows 7 PC, but I can REMOTE DESKTOP from my ASRock ION 330 to my other Windows 7 PC.

I've read about issues with Nvidia drivers and RDP not working, but this was mainly for Windows XP.

Just wondered if anyone else has the same problem, or could test to see if they can replicate.

    TIA.

    Hello Cbers,

I have a ASRock ION 330 as well, and I am able to do a Remote Desktop from my 64-bit Windows 7 RTM to the ASRock with both of them having the latest 191.07 NIVIDIA drivers installed on each system. I have no problems doing so.

Is it giving you any error messages?

    I'm running 32-bit - I wonder if there is a difference ??

The error message I get 5 seconds after connecting is attached - there is no-one else connected to it.

It used to work, and I have the original drivers so may regress it later today.

Currently running 15.51_nforce_ion_winvista_win7_32bit_whql driver (was 15.37 until today) and 191.07_desktop_win7_winvista_32bit_english_whql (was 190.39 until yesterday).

So it was working till yesterday? Nice! You think they would check that better since they have had problems in the past. I had this problem with XP but not so far with w7 using 190.62. You should be able to find the older drivers at nVidia's site.

No, it hasn't been working for a while, well before yesterday.

I just updated to the latest version yesterday.

Gonna try the original drivers for the ION later to see if that solves it.

What do you have installed on the ASRock server?

The ION NVIDIA 191.07 ION drivers below worked for me.

    For Vista 32-bit:
    NVIDIA DRIVERS 191.07 WHQL

    For WHS or XP:
    NVIDIA DRIVERS 191.07 WHQL

The ASRock ION 330 doesn't use nForce "Product Type" video drivers, but the ION "Product Type" drivers instead.

    UPDATE:
I see. You're talking about the NVIDIA All in 1 chipset drivers instead. I'm using the 15.45 version.
