Processes using large amounts of network
Hello sevenforums,
Recently I discovered through looking in resource monitor that the processes in my (windows 7) PC were using on average 400kbps of my network. I have a 50g plan and was wondering how I could possibly be "exceeding the data limit", but I think this is the problem. The processes doing this are mainly multiple conhosts, dllhosts, msieexec, a ctfmon process, presentationhost and even notepad. (there may be more). The reason I know this is not supposed to happen is because years ago I had a 4g plan. I've also seen screenshots of people getting 1kbps. Could someone suggest why this is happening and possibly how to fix it? I'm not sure if this has been posted before, but due to my slow internet after "exceeding the data limit", it's difficult to search for it, so please provide a link if there is. My internet provider is Optus (sigh I know.)
On another note, when I scroll down, there are two svchost listening ports with adresses IPv4 unspecified and IP46 unspecified. I'm not sure what this means or if this is normal.
Thanks in advance for any advice given.
EDIT: I use cable internet.
