How to hide or remove $ shares
I have a Patriot Box Office media player that I use to watch movies from my Win7 Premium pc. To be able to see the movies on the pc I went to drive properties > Sharing > Advanced Sharing > Checked the "share this folder" box. Opened permissions and gave everyone Read permissions. Then Opened Security tab and made sure everyone had read permissions.
I also had to change some settings in Network & Sharing Center (but I don't think they are pertinent to this problem. I can list them upon request)
So I can see the shared drives on the media player. But when I open the page listing the shared drives I see both the share names. Example; if drive M is shared, I see M and M$. I would like to be able to hide the $ admin share names from view.
Is it possible to do this?
Thanks,
