ethernet connection dropping after an hour

    hi friends
i am using a dell inspiron 6400 laptop loaded with windows 7 os. since i have loaded this os i am facing with a network connection problem. when i connect to the internet ti connects without any problem and i am able to use it for about an hour and a half after which my connection gets dropped. suddenly my network indicator shows that i am having limited or no connectivity and i am not able to load any web pages and all my torrents and chat clients go offline. this is a very big issue for me since i put torrents for downloading overnight and when i wake up i find that they have not been running the whole night.
i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling my network driver but to no use. my isp is Airtel and no issues like this have been faced by my roommates who use windows xp. please suggest me a solution to this problem
    thank you

I just got this from Billion Admin

But I just found out right now its not a Windows 7 problem
mine also shuts down with my computer turned off

Your log is just telling you that PPP connection is being lost/reconnected, check this out with provider.

Check for faulty cabling/filters & ensure that all devices attached to line are filtered.

What are current attenuation & snr.

Consult the Admin of your router
give them all detail log details etc
    Hope this helps

The contributors to this forum can only work with the data presented. Perhaps you should attend a better school where they might teach you how to submit a thorough problem description along with the steps taken to correct/investigate the problem, man.
