    Download Speed

    Hi Folks,
My desktop & laptop pc's were clean installed using Windows7 32bit Home Premium upgrade discs, and both are set the same with nearly all programs on both.

I am not getting a good download speed on my wired desktop pc. I have flushed the DNS Cache & Firefox Cache & rebooted my Netgear DGN2000 router. CCleaner has also been used.

If I use Utorrent on my desktop, the d/l speed is ok. If downloading from a web page, it is helluva slow. My laptop is not slow & does not have Utorrent installed.

It could just be that the source you are downloading from is just slower, or possibly replace your Ethernet cable...sounds simple but I had that once and it fixed it for me.

Both downloads as in my image were from the same source. I tried a different cable, no difference.

Use a download accelerator like Internet download manager (IDM).
