Windows 7: Ad-Hoc Problem (to iPhone 4s)

Ad-Hoc Problem (to iPhone 4s)

Hi there,
I recently created a Ad-hoc connection to use my LAN connection through wifi on my iPhone 4s. I have done this previously on this laptop and mobile before without a problem but after a fresh install of Windows 7 (which is what this laptop has always run) I'm getting problems with the connection.

The connection is setup with ICS enabled, there is internet access on the IPv4 and the iPhone connects to it, the problem is the wifi icon doesn't appear on the iPhone task bar which indicates that there must be a problem somewhere with the sharing of the internet. The iPhone is only showing an IP address and subnet mask in the DHCP section of the connection, so I don't know if there is something wrong there.

Does anyone have any ideas on what may be wrong or need changing?
