Belkin Wirless G Usb Network Adapter

    Hey guys and gals,

I just recently got my computer working after two years in the graveyard :0 but it so happens that my Belkin Wireless G Network Adapter is not working. We have a family computer, which is also Win 7 Home prem 64bit and it works perfectly fine. Except the one i am using (Identical, both operating system and adapter) is not. Any problems with this model I should know about? I know it said that the one I am using is meant for xp - Vista 32 but then how is the family computer able to run it? I know pretty much nothing about internet cards and network adapters, so I might just go buy another high-speed one from Walmart, but would not like to spend $30 dollars on a small piece of plastic.

I have gone to Belkin and talked to the tech support, seems like they have a free download link but when the lady answered the phone, she told me to buy 30 days of tech support for 40 bucks???? What type of service is that? And when i told her about the website she was like "I cannot tell you what to download" and I'm said "ITS ON YOUR SITE!!!" She ended up hanging up.

I tried downloading all of them through my friends Network Adapter (not mine) but none of the patches work and the USB ports dont recongize it as plugged in.

    Thanks for reading.

    I hope you can help!

For the USB problem not sure but try shutting the system down then unplug it and hit the power button, plug back in and then see if it picks up the USB NIC.

If you can connect using a wired connection then try going to Windows updates with the USB adaptor plugged then most likely Windows update will find a driver for it.

If you can give the model number of the Belkin USB NIC then I could look for a driver. :)
