Windows 7: Internet not Linking to PC

Internet not Linking to PC

My browsers e.g. Google Chrome (or IE, and FF), allow me to visit any page but when I try to download
I get a notice saying that I do not have an Internet Connection! Have rebooted several times. Tried to
cross out DHCP and Proxy Server. Altering details in Network and Sharing Center has not shown any
improvement in linking the computer. Several other manouvers which were suggested not helped either.
U-torrent keeps displaying "Finding Peers" for last one week.

I believe I have wrongly tick marked something which I ought not. Any and all help that can guide me to
the right solution is highly welcome.

Hi KanMan and welcome to SevenForums.

How long is this doing this? Need more information on to when this has happened? Did you install anything prior to this happening?

I am sorry, I can't trace back exactly when was the PC hit by this malady. U-torrent has not been able to download for quite some time and that became the cause of launching this misadventure. Instead of bettering it has gone to worse. Reverting back to earlier Restore Points has been fruitless.

The only thing I would say (that too without 100% certainty) is the installation of RegClean Pro could be responsible for initiating the chain of events.

I am guessing it has something to do with IP config. Hopefully this piece of information may be of some help. Thanks.

KanMan

download

Double click the dds icon to run the tool.
Place a check next to attact.txt and click Start . When done, DDS will open two logs
DDS.txt
Attach.txt
Save two logs onto your desktop and upload them with your reply

It is getting sillier. Hope you don't lose patience with me.
From where do I load these files.
I simply do not know where DDS tool's icon is?

Check your C:\Users\YourUserName\Downloads folder you should see a DDS file there. Right click on it and choose Run as administrator. Place a check next to ATTACH.TXT and click start. It will open up two text files save those files to your Desktop and upload them .

It sounds weird that your browsers would allow a connection to a site but refuse a download, therefore I would suspect malware, scan your machine with things like malwarebytes, hijack this, spybot, hitmanPro, etc

I would also check your hosts file for any redirects

There is no such thing as a "DDS tool" /icon either under Downloads or on the whole machine.
My computer is apparently dumber than me.
