Windows 7: Internet Connection Problem

Okay here goes

My ISP provide unlimited download during 2:00AM to 8:00 AM



So i schedule the internet connection in the night.

I put the comp to sleep mode and wake it up at 2:00 and connect to the net.
There is no problem in the connection.But after some time the net connection gets disconnected automatically.It is not a ordinary disconnect....when i log in and try to disconnect i am not able to perform that .

This sounds like an ISP problem have you contacted them

& please update you System Specs bottom left of your posts

Get a new ISP

Changing DNS Address with another provided by opendns.com , would help you if you are using BSNL...see opendns.com manual for changing the DNS...

okay here is the deal......
i am pretty sure its not my isp's problem cause i was using xp before this
and it worked like a charm
i had this same problem in the rc release of windows 7.
i thought it was a minor bug....
so i changed bak to xp n now i am bak to win 7 ultimate and the problem still exists

okay let me take u thru the sequence how this happenes

1.i put my com to sleep mode
2.at excatly 2:00AM i have scheduld my comp to connect to the net
3.If i am not wrong roughly around 1 or 1/2 an hour from then the net automatically gets disconnected(i know this because of uTorrents [amount downloaded /speed=time :P]
4.morning when i get up i log in n i see the net is disconnected not only that i am umable to connect to the net either.i will propbaly up load the pics tomorrow. i have to restart the comp to actually connect to the net
