Why the shared folder has no different symbol?

Why the shared folder has no different symbol?

I’m wondering why the shared folder has no different symbol that should say that it is shared (attached)!

    Thank you

There is no shared icon any longer. Instead, they switch to only giving private files an icon, (Pad lock).

What are those little overlay icons: Windows 7 edition - The Old New Thing - Site Home - MSDN Blogs
No longer present as an overlay is the sharing hand. Why was the sharing hand removed in favor of the private overlay?

    Hi Jamal,

The link posted above explains the reason of shared folders not having a different icon. Here is the similar post which discuss the same:

Shared Folder "two little persons" icon

Unfortunately, no confirmed solution available on this post. However, I found this which might be useful for you:

Is it the same in Windows 8? No special icon for the shared folder?!
