    Cannot connect to second PC on wired hub


    I have a Linksys 5 port workgroup hub.

    Our two PCs are connected by cable so we can move files between the PCs.

    We access the Internet via wireless and the hub is only for file transfer.

    Sometimes it works, but most time I cannot connect to the other PC. The diagnostics do not return any help.

    The other PC can access one of my drives but not another even though I have the drive set for sharing.

    Nor sure what to do next.

    No need for such large fonts, really...

    What is your IP configuration on the machines?

    And you use a HUB? Are you sure it's not a hardware issue, I can't remember the last time I saw a hub...
