Intermittent Slow To Connect to Internet After Reboot
Connection seems to happen after anywhere from five minutes to over 20 minutes. In the meantime, no problem connecting to LAN devices (e.g. NAS). This happens for each WIFI, LAN, or Both together - whichever combination I have enabled - default is Both (ipconfig all txt file loaded with both).
This is a problem that will happen for some period (days), then seem to resolve itself (for weeks), only to return some time later with no discernible pattern.
I am interested in finding what might be the trigger for this.
Up to now, because it is intermittent in this manner, I've ignored it...simply waiting for connection to resolve after reboot. It is annoying, but I can live with it, but worry of bigger problems lurking.
I am investigating some of the solutions provided, but they all seem aimed at people who have this problem permanently. For example:
PC will not connect to the internet all of a sudden
Weird network connection problem.
Internet connected but cannot connect
This makes me suspect that these solutions might not apply, or would only temporarily provide relief, until the next trigger event occurs.
I've not correlated it with any one type of event. For instance, today, it occurs after I did an update to Java and reallocated disk space on my HDD prior to reboot, neither of which I did prior to the last occurrence.
Any thoughts, or suggested avenues to pursue (beyond trial and error with the above solutions)?
