network sharing and bridge issue

Hi I'm new to the forum and I'm hoping one of you can help me with a network sharing issue.

I'm trying to connect my xbox to my laptop so I can use its wireless connection. I have done this before on a previous laptop with no issues, but every time I try to bridge to connections I get an error message saying

"to create a network bridge you must select at least two or high speed internet connections that are not being used by internet sharing"

I have done some searches and I have been told to enable sharing on the main wireless connection, but every time I try to do this I get an error saying

"an error occurred while connection sharing was being enabled

(null)"

I did another search and was told to go into services and set a few programs to automatic at start-up which I did to no effect. I was also told the disable UAC control but that has done nothing

if I go into properties on my wireless I and check the to boxes the only options I have in the drop down menu is Wireless Connection 2 and local LAN

Any help on this would be very much appreciated

Thanks

Peter

Sure internet connection sharing is off?

Code:
route -4 print
Do it when lan-cable is connected. Post output

Pete5956,

Welcome to the forums. Follow the bridge directions in this link.

Network Bridge Connection

Select the two network connections that you want to bridge. To do this, click the first network connection, press and hold CTRL, and then click the second network connection
