    Can't connect to wireless on D-Link DIR-600

Hi guys. Need your help with this. Since two days ago, I have not been able to connect through WiFi to my dlink router. The computer that's connected to the router through the lan cable is fine and able to connect to the internet. But when I try to connect my laptop wirelessly, it says authentication failed. I checked the router settings through the dlink interface and the password hadn't changed. I then did a reset of the router by pressing the button at the back and set up the wireless network again. It still doesn't work.

Anybody able to help me with this problem please? Thank you in advance

It should help to go into the Network and Sharing Center, then to the left where it says Manage Wireless connections, find the profile that relates to the problem connection and remove the profile then create a new one using the same SSID, password, security and encryption as the router is set up to use.

I deleted the profile and tried to connect again. It still doesn't work and it says the security key is wrong. Was on holiday and just came back after three days and the problem still persists. Could someone please help me?

I can't think of any reason why your router suddenly stopped working but often times just pushing the reset button isn't enough, sometimes you need to perform a 30-30-30 reset of the router.

The thing is, the wired works fine through the router. Could it be that there is a problem with the wpa2 security? The broadcast of the SSID is fine, it just can't connect because it keeps saying the security key is wrong.

Please help as it is very difficult without WiFi and this is driving me crazy

I'll try doing the hard reset that you posted and keep you updated.

The hard reset didn't work. Updated the firmware and it didn't work as well.

Changed to WEP security and it didn't work as well.

    What could be the problem??
