    Asus PCI-G31 wireless issues

Hey guys, I have a fresh install of windows 7 on my PC and just installed this card. However I cannot get it to ******* work after 3 hours. Everything is fine except this pos.

I'm orry for the language but I'm about to hurl the whole computer at this point. It's brand new and every other piece of hardware works fine except for my internet thanks to the card.

I'm on 64bit if that helps

    Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Was wondering if this problem had been solved? I have a 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium computer that frequently locks up. I think one of the problems is my Netgear USB wireless device. When I disconnected it, my virus checker scanned the whole disk; when it's connected, the computer freezes after awhile. I wanted to get a PCI-G31 card since it was from ASUS, like my P6T motherboard, and it seemed more compatible than other cards I looked at. But this thread indicated problems. Any other wireless devices for 802.11g that can be recommended if this one doesn't work?

Yes I got it to work:

    1) Your computer must be connected to ethernet

    2) Let windows update find the driver by itself(Microsoft one)

    3) Enjoy!

    windows 7 ultimate

I am no computer geek, but I have just installed a Asus PCI-G31 on my windows 7 ultimate which came with a disk for the driver, after installing the disk and clicking on the download driver icon, it seemed to download but nothing happened I could still not see my wireless network bars in the bottom left of screen, but when I turned my computer off and then rebooted it appeared. It was then just a case of right clicking on the icon and finding your IP, put your password in and all was well. Until I turned the computer off, It looses the driver every time and I have to go through the same blinking routine every time I want to get on the internet. I have been told that this wireless card is crap, but I do not think it is a problem with the card but with the computer. Help
