My PC won't `see` anything on the network

Hello. I have this strange problem with my PC at home. It is connected to a network but it won't see other devices connected to it. My PC is seen by my other PC connected, but I can't see that PC. Both have W7. Mine is connected using cable, the other one is connected using WIFI.

The problem gets really nasty when I try to link my PC to my TV so I can stream movies to it. It will simply not recognize each other. This feature works for all devices connected, but not this PC. The program that does this thing (Samsung AllShare) has the right to `by-pass` Firewall.

    Any hints on this?

Do you have both computers setup on the right network settings. Like Public,Home, and Work.

Yes, both computers have the `Home` configuration.

When I run into issues like this I always set up the network again. Are you using saved passwords on your connections? Also have you looked at event viewer for any related issues?

I don't know about that, I didn't configure the network, just plugged in the cable.

Followed those steps but still not working.

    UPDATE.
Now I can access computers on the network but it will still not find my TV.
