Homegroup troubling me?

I have a home group set up on my computer. I need to transfer some stuff to another computer. It says "There is currently no homegroup on your network." But it says, I can't create my own homegroup network on that computer with that edition, but I can join one (remind yourself my other computer is on the homegroup). But the "Join now" is gray'd out? Why is this? If I go to the homegroup options on the other computer, it shows the "change homegroup settings" so I know I'm in it and it's set up. So why is the "join now" button gray'd out on the other computer? The one can't join is a starter edition and mine (the computer that's already connected to the homegroup) is a Home Premium. So, any help?

Thanks in advance.

For the can't join the Homegroup problem please follow advice in the link below.

Homegroup Not Working

For the problem in the quote:

This problem usually occurs when certain Windows services that relate to networking are either turned off or not set to Automatic start up.

Check your Services. Ensure that the required services are Started on all the computers:
Go to Start\Control Panel\ Administrative Tools\ Services.

o Computer Browser
o DHCP Client
o DNS Client
o Network Connections
o Network Location Awareness
o Remote Procedure Call (RPC)
o Server
o TCP/IP Netbios helper
o Workstation

All of these services should be started, and their startup type should be automatic.
To change the startup type, double-click on the service name and change accordingly.
