    compatible wireless apdapters

Anyone recommend a good wireless adapter for Windpws 7. I have to have one for downstairs since there is no accessable wall outlet near the pc. I would prefer N standard since I will be upgrading my router soon. I was looking at this one but wasn't sure about it:

    LINKSYS WUSB300N IEEE 802.11b/g, IEEE 802.11n Draft USB 2.0 Wireless-N Network Adapter 256-bit WEP, WPA andWPA2 Encryption

    Newegg.com - LINKSYS WUSB300N IEEE 802.11b/g, IEEE 802.11n Draft USB 2.0 Wireless-N Network Adapter 256-bit WEP, WPA and WPA2 Encryption Security - Wireless Adapters

    Thanks in advance.

In theory, any adapter designed to the 802.11n standard will work - that's what standards are for. That said, there have been issues where mixing brands in a wireless network was not so successful. However, now that the 11n standard has been finalized, that "should" not be a problem. BUT - I note you will still see "draft" versions on the store shelves.

My advice is to decide on a router first, then buy the same brand adapters.
