Changing Password on Wireless Modem, Windows Cannot Connect

    Hello,
I have a NETGEAR Wireless Router - N300 (WNR2000). Every time I change the password it says Windows cannot connect to NETGEAR38 and asks me if I want to troubleshoot. The only way I can connect to my browser again after that is if I do a factory reset on it. I have already tried on multiple computer. Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated.
    regards
    Emanuel

How are you changing the password? You can't change it using a wireless connection because when you do, the passwords will obviously not match and therefore you will lose connection. This should only be done over a wired (Ethernet) connection. Incidentally, why the need to change the password? I can understand it from a security point of view, but it is hardly conducive to change it too often, especially if you have multiple devices using that connection. Instead, I suggest using a more secure password, such as the 63 random printable ASCII characters: from https://www.grc.com/passwords.htm and have the devices connect automatically. For greater security, enable MAC filtering so that only authorised devices can connect (in other words, only devices that have their MAC code included in the router's MAC filter list can connect, even if they have the correct password).
