That shouldn't touch Firefox . Try it again with Revo Uninstaller .

Maybe there were some important files that were bolded? I did delete all of them (the bold terms).

The bold items have to do with the Dr.Web software . Make sure you scan for left over files and folders and delete the bold items by selecting Select All and click on Delete .

Well uninstalling Dr.Web worked this time!
The internet connection problem persists, however.
I was adjusting my start-up services earlier when I noticed that there was one called WinHttp Web Proxy Auto-Discovery Service. I didn't disable it though.
Also, I was playing around with command prompt and noticed that WinHttp imports its proxy source from ie, as you can see in the screen shot attached. Is there a command that can change import settings to those FireFox uses?
netsh winhttp import proxy source=....

Enter Proxy Settings in Firefox - wikiHow

Take a look at the link above . Make sure No proxy is checked .

That will only touch the proxy settings . For in home use you don't need a proxy .

Firefox settings are now set to No Proxy, but Google and IE and Steam are still unable to access the network...

Check the settings for Google Chrome and IE . Might want to check the settings for steam as well .

what am I checking for? Internet Connection Settings are set to "Automatically detect settings." I just found out that I can't connect to my Telus router through internet explorer or chrome either.
