alternative to "net use" for w7 home premium?

Hi, I use the command "net use x: \\server\share /user:myuser "password" in a commandfile put in the autostart to connect a networkdrive at systemstart. In w7 pro all is OK but this does not seem to work in home premium. Does anyone know a workaround? Kind regards, Jan

Does it work if you type it manually into a prompt? I'm just thinking the desktop log in sequence may be slightly different on Pro. Seems like it ought to work unless specifying the password is prohibited.

Unless you want access to a network drive when booted into a CD or system partition there is no need to use the specified command.

Map Network Drive - Follow method 2 and ensure that the 'Reconnect at logon' box is checked to ensure connection.

    Hope This Helps,

Come to think of it, I don't think net use is any different on Home Premium than on Pro. It's likely there's something else that's different. Do you get an error msg? If so what is it?

Thanks, I already gave a reconnect at logon, so I will see if this will work. If not I will post the error. Kind regards, Jan
