Windows 7: IPv6 is on, but can't join homegroup!

Windows 7 Ult, Windows 8.1 Pro,

This fix has been around a long time guys, along with a couple other fixes for these types of problems. I've only mentioned that fix about a million times.

Unable to join homegroup, homegroup creating computer is no more
The computer that originally created the homegroup on my network is no more. It seems that because of this that my new computer is unavailable to join the homegroup that already exists. Other computers that were part of the homegroup before the "host" computer died are still part of the homegroup...

i have just installed windows 7 onto my netbook, it has joined a homegroup with my main PC (win 7 pro) with no problem, but i have a HTPC (win 7 HP) that i still cannot get to join the homegroup i have updated the realtech drivers today, but it's still the same. any ideas?
