I have changed the channel from AUTO to 1. Yes there are 11 in total.

My modem and wireless is 2 in 1. This one device I have is my modem, router and wireless.

So far nothing has worked...I will be trying to fix it, while waiting for your answers.

THank you for the help so far
May I ask, what is your definition of the internet disconnecting? In the system try with your network status what happens? If it cuts out completely then this could be a wireless issue however if it happens to wired connection then you may have to replace the router.

If you receive a Local Only connection (Wireless signal with a warning sign) then your problem is with your connection to the internet and not the wireless channel at all.

Your router has an internet light? Does this change upon disconnection?

Well I bought a brand new modem, so modem is not the issue I would say.

When it dcs, yes my "internet" symbol/light turns red, just waiting....waiting.....for 10 or so minutes....then it turns green, I can use it again. Just a normal disconnect really, but happens randomly and quite often

This is your line to the internet. Unfortunately we do not have any control over any settings of your line so all I can suggest is to phone your internet service provider and they should be able to fix it for you. You have done all that you can do

Are you using a DSL connection? If so if you can find your noise margin and Line Attenuation details (Measured in dB) then this can help me determine if it is the line or a setting on your router.

If were provided with a router from your ISP and that failed to work on its default settings then fixing this without a call to your ISP is practically impossible.

How do I give you that noise margin and line details? If you tell me how to get it I am more than happy to provide you with the info

It will be in your router statistics somewhere. If you can provide the details of your router I can possibly offer some steps on how to retrieve this

Below is an example of mine:

Your Noise margin is rather low which may be the cause for the drop outs.

A normal downstream Noise Margin is normally 7.0 - 10.0 dB. Anything lower would cause line instability and anything higher will cause your internet to be slow.

I was hoping it was going to be good Unfortunately I have no control over that value and you need to contact your ISP so that they can reset your IP profile or change your noise margin settings at the exchange.
