That's because your problem is dns lookups.
Have you restarted your computer?

What's your output from "nslookup" then "google.se"

I've restarted more times than I can count at this point yeah. Just did it right now, no changes.

nslookup gives me the following.
"Default Server: google-public-dns-a.google.com"
"Address: 8.8.8.8"

Just typing google.se gives me this.

> google.se
Server: google-public-dns-a.google.com
Address: 8.8.8.8

try to type google.se in your web browser now, it should work.

I'm afraid it does not work. Firefox still gets "Server not found" and IE can't load the page either.

Can you open c:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts with notepad and past everything here.

Try to boot into safe mode with network and try to get to google from your web browser now.

Safe mode boot with networking is done, still can't connect to google via my browser.

Try to turn off your firewall and a/v (don't forget to turn it on again). try
Install virtualbox and make a windows 7 machine using hosted network and try to connect. If this not work I don't know :/
The last thing would be a clean install of windows 7 :/

I hope someone can find an other solution for this problem.

Alright, So here is the rundown: I have Windows 7 Ultimate. I always have ran Malwarebytes Daily and RegCure. I had a trojan make it past Malwarebytes so I decided to give Avast a try. Didnt like Avast so I uninstalled it and went back with Malwarebytes.
