    Wifi connection issue

Up until the other day I had no problems connecting with my laptop to the local wifi network. Now it won't let me, even though the network still shows up as available. I am able to access it from my other devices (iPad and iPhone) so I know the network is good. I can't reset the router because it is publicly used. I'm not savvy with IP address and all that so any help or ideas would be appreciated. So far I have reset the computer and cycled the wireless on and off on the computer. Thank you

Is it asking for a password? (Hopefully it is...) Any message that comes up once you try to connect would be helpful. Ask the people who admin the router for details re: passwords and protocols.

It is not asking for a password, nor has it ever required one. The message that comes up simply says "windows was unable to connect to network".
