Could you post a screenshot of ipconfig /all? Recommend using the built in snipping tool in win 7.

Start-run-cmd-type ipconfig/all

I appreciate the suggestions. I can't put them into practice right now as I am away from home but I shall as soon as I return hearthside!

Basic Requirements Before Posting your Networking Thread

Follow this and post the IPconfig however since you are able to access over sites I doubt there is anything wrong with your IP configuration other than the DNS servers. That being said, since it works in XP mode I would suspect malware or third party application

Just my opinion,
Josh

Here are the DDS logs.

I am able to load the website from my laptop running Vista. This is definitely a Win7 Pro issue.

Edited to add the ipconfig/all log.

Well there's your problem I believe.

Your DNS server is set to 127.0.0.1 this is a loopback address for your machine therefore the machine will not have received a valid IP address.

Can you follow this tutorial on your ethernet local area connection and change your DNS servers:

I recommend the following as they are google public DNS servers :

Primary: 8.8.8.8

Secondary: 8.8.4.4

If you want you can point your DNS servers to:

192.168.0.1 - This will use your router as a DNS server allowing you to ping internal hostnames or you can choose to obtain one automatically. Either way just make sure it is NOT 127.0.0.1

DNS Addressing - How to Change in Windows 7

Hope This Helps,
Josh

Yes I can try that but then why do other websites load in Win7? It seems that would prevent everything from loading.

Most likely from cache however I cannot be for sure. All I know is that unless your machine is a DNS server you are not going to resolve any IP addresses

I agree, looks like sabotage to me.

Of course just leaving it blank will typically allow the router to handle it, but I always type in my preferred DNS servers into my router's settings.

Not to sound argumentative but cache and cookies were the first things I cleared in multiple browsers when all of this started so I doubt it is that.
