Problems with New Realtek Card RTL8139/810x and wifi connection

Recently my network connection hardwired to the motherboard went bad. Installed a Realtek RTL8139 network card and now cannot get internet on the PC and wireless at the same time. Router and modem checks out. The original hardwired connection (to the motherboard) has been disabled. Any suggestions?

Welcome to Seven Forums,

Can you verify from the Device Manager if your NIC is present? Make sure to expand Network Adapters.
Windows 7 Device Manager - How to Access Device Manager From the Command Prompt in Windows 7

Also, please provide an ipconfig /all output by following the guide in this Networking Sticky.

Verified NIC is present.
1. Not sure, thinking it's a wired prob, no internet on desktop when router plugged in, but have wireless capability, and when modem directly plugged to computer, I have internet on desktop, but of course no wireless.
2. ISP is Cox
3. Cable
4. Modem is a Motorola Surfboard SB5101 router is a Netgear G54/N150
5. McAfee through Cox

Thanks for providing all info needed, it's quite helpful.

Can you please try disabling the McAfee Service? Click on the Start button and type Services on the Search field, locate McAfee Service and temp disable it.

Also, let's change the DNS back to Auto DNS, you are using Google DNS.
Change TCP/IP settings

Another update will be appreciated.
