    Repeater troubleshooting

Hi, I have some problems when installing a D-Link DAP-1360 as a repeater for a wireless router. After installing the repeater everything seems to be working well, with very good wi-fi coverage, but after a while, with the main network recognized, stop the internet communication, and I just get net again if I reset the repeater.
Can someone help me understand what is going wrong?

    Thanks in advance.

Hello and welcome Oliver mate for starters some system specs would be good:)

Now the problem is not that clear to me so you hook up your network and then you stop the net connection or it does it automatically??

Hi, thank you for your reply. Each time I reset the repeater, it works well for some time, 5 or 10 minutes, then it stops and it only works again if I reset the repeater.

Hmm Oliver just how is this device powered mate if it is an adaptor maybe it is not maintaining the power supply for the repeater.

It could also be the repeater itself needs looking at it did occur to me it sounds a bit like a capacitor not holding a charge within the circuitry and is timing itself out. Just how old is it?? ?warranty.

But not having much to do with these devices I am purely speculating of course.

Mate I would be taking it back to the supplier if it is not the device then we might have a problem but to me it certainly sounds like it is the repeater itself is faulty seeing as it is new:)

Many similar complaints about this repeater. The best chance you have is to update the firmware to the latest version which is version 3.03 dated 8-5-13 and does show a fix for wireless stability. Be sure and select the correct revision number. :)

The reviews were terrible for this device although it appears that D-Link is attempting to fix the problem with the latest firmware update. Of course you will probably need to test the new firmware for a few days in order to confirm stability.

I personally have good luck with D-Link products.
