Can you connect via a cable and go into the Router and check that the wireless is enabled. A long shot i know but I am running out of ideas. I will have a laptop here later and will try to replicate the problem on that.

I can find it and other people can connect to it too. I found the same problem with an other router too, but i don't have the routers model, or company. Yes i was able to connect, around a year ago when i used it last time. Any ideas? maybe compatibilty problems from the updates hp has? I can see us a wireless network, but i deleted it from my wireless network's and tried to reconnect cause i thought it will fix the problem. Btw security type -no authentication and ecrypted is WEP dunno if it helps

OK about the security type with no authentication. Many drivers for Windows 7 simply will not work with the outdated WEP encryption, it's also unlikely to work with no authentication. You really can't run a wireless network like this.

You will need to go into the routers wireless settings to fix this.

Set the router to use WPA-2 Security with AES encryption. Delete the old wireless profile then create a new one that matches the routers settings, SSID, security key, WPA-2 AES etc. It may even be required to update the firmware on the router. After this you will also need to update the wireless profiles on your networked machines at home.

You can see in the link below that there is a special firmware flash utility for Windows 7. I suggest you use that one to flash the router to the latest versions IF you are still having problems after setting up the router to use WPA-2, AES etc.

yes, i did and i checked at Thomson's Gateway too.

I don't think something must be done to the router but to the computer and i found out that the SSID from the other router i wanted to connect too was CYTA 44D5, and its WPA-2 and i don't think that router has a problem either.
