Internet connection constantly dropping

I have a Dell Studio 1558 running Windows 7 x64.

I recently encountered some problems with my internet dropping after a few minutes. To temporarily fix the problem I used troubleshooting which would give me the message

"The connection between your access point, router or cable modem and the Internet is broken. Detected

The default gateway is not available. Fixed"

I tried restoring to a previous date when I didn't have this problem but nothing changed. The problem usually occurs when I'm in a skype call or I'm trying to watch a youtube video.

My ipconfig/all is

Hi User191680,

Welcome to Seven forums.

I apologize for all the inconvenience this issue has caused and promise you that I will do my best to resolve this issue to your satisfaction.

First of all check the system under safe mode with networking and check if the issue occurs in this mode as well:

Safe Mode

Then you should try updating to the latest driver for the wireless card from the link below:

DW1501

Keep us posted with the results so we can advise you further.

If possible, check to see if you can connect via ethernet cable, and maintain that connection. Of course, this is only a suggestion if updating the driver for your wireless adapter doesn't work. You may need to use the ethernet cable to complete the download of the drivers, and that may be a good test, anyhow.

HI Roland, thank you for the prompt reply. Yes, wireless connection. The router has been changed about 6 month ago. And the error I'm getting only now
