Router keeps disconnecting me every 15-45 minutes help??

It's been doing this to me since the past friday... constant disconnecting every 15-45 minutes.

Followed instructions to hookup a laptop directly to the modem and it seems to run fine like that but this stinking router just keeps messing up...

I'm using a cisco e1000 and I have it connected via ethernet and using the router for 2 other wireless devices... laptop & Ipod.

Try a compete reset of the router. After that you will need to set up the wireless again, SSID, password, security, encryption etc.

If you can post a screen shot of the ipconfig/all and the read out from the Xirrus WiFi inspector it may help me to diagnose the problem.

You can just make up anything to type in there.

No problems with the ipconfig, though I did notice you were downloading something from Steam.

From the Xirrus read out I'm not seeing anything that might cause problems with frequent disconnections. Of course turning off the steam download may help.

You might want to run some virus scans or start up in safe mode with networking to see if the problem persists.
