    You should try to uninstall the VPN device and the Globe trotter device completely from the system, after the uninstall you might want to run CCleaner to remove what's left over and to remove the registry entries they left behind.

    From what I can tell here something in the network interface is causing your PCIe adaptor to not show up at all.

    I tried for a while, uninstalling everything. At that point the lan connection was working.
    Then i got sick and just installed windows 8.1: everything working now ^__^

    I'm sure that must have been the problem then. I guess installing a different Op system would work as well.
