Ralink RT5390 WiFi Adapter Continuously Uninstalling

It will happen in the middle of usage or sometimes when I restart.

The scenario will be that the internet can't connect and troubleshooting might get it to work for a second but open second attempt the driver will either show there is an error in the manager or will altogether disappear.

Temporary solutions that I've found to this problem include:
-restarting the computer, sometimes multiple times
-uninstalling the error-ed adapter and re installing

But as I said these are temporary and the problem persists either the same day or maybe in a couple days.

I presume the issue is deeper than just the driver but cannot figure it out. Any help would be incredible.

Completely remove the device and all its software and reboot. Then do a SFC /Scannow and scan your system for malware. Check your Windows Logs for the System and Applications to see if you can find anything related to the issue. If everything is good do a reinstall of the device and software per the manufacturer's instructions.

Alright, ran the SFC /scannow command and have good/bad news.

It found corrupt files in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log but "could not fix some of them."

I just Skybot to search for malware and hopefully can clean up and resolve the issue.

You need to resolve all the issues with the operating system before you reinstall the device and software.

If you have a good restore point from well before you experienced issues, you might try that and then repeat the recommendations in my first post.

Earlier when the problem was first occurring I did restore from before I was experiencing the issue hoping for a quick fix but to no avail unfortunately.

You might want to open a new thread under "General Discussion" or "Performance & Maintenance" about the corrupted CBS.log file issue.
