Router does not have a valid IP configuration

    Sorry about the delayed response, I work weekends.
    "DHCP-client", "DNS server" and "Network Store Interface Service" are running. The first two are set to automatic and Network Store Interface Service is manual.

    I downloaded and updated to the latest drivers. I ran the diagnostic that the came with the ethernet network connection and it said it failed the "loopback test". I tried pinging 127.0.0.1 and it worked. Is this indicative of hardware failure?

    Perhaps following the advice in the link below which address this ongoing Unidentified Network problem may help. The comments section has more answers that may be helpful.

    You should be able to change the network location after you are connected again. :)
