    Hello GradeAbra,

If you mean your network being a "Home" network now, then you changed the network location type to Home. You could use the tutorial below to change the network location type back to what you had before. (ex: Work or Public)

Network Location - Set as Home, Work, or Public Network

    Hope this helps, :)

That is your current HomeGroup status. It's there because you are on home network. If you have always been on a home network and never had the status show before, then did you recently connect another PC to your home network?

"Ready to create" means that you are not in a HomeGroup, and clicking on that link would take you to create HomeGroup wizard.

    Hi,

I did not connect another PC to my home net work. How do you remove this thing? Thanks

You could remove that by changing your network location type to be either "Work" or "Public". I would recommend "Public" since you do not have any other computers on your network. :)

Only my own computer is connected to this network. The rest of the computer or notebooks are sharing the router from this network. Isit still ok to set it to work or public?

It depends on if you want to be able share files with the other PCs on the network or not. You can always change this in the future if your needs should change though.

If not, then "Public" is fine.

If so, then "Work" or "Home". Since you don't want "Home", then "Work" will do.
