PERVERTED: 70 bytes/sec after system restore
Hi to all the Forum-Members !
I really would appreciate your help to the following "perverted" situation:
I installed W7 without any problems, everything worked as proposed, Internet access OK. After the installation of some additional software, I decided to save my work. So I did an image backup of my system-partition with the W7 backup software.
So far, so good, again no problems. For testing reasons, I then performed a restore from the system backup, using the special restore-CD, created by the backup program. Again, everything was OK, W7 was restored without errors and booted normally.
BUT after that restore-process, I had to find, that my internet-connection speed had dropped to about 70 BYTES/SEC (!!!). I checked all settings, but could not find any problems. I use internet with a LAN-Router, my normal speed is about 12.000 bytes/sec. I "played around" for several hours, then gave up and installed W7 completely new.
Again everything worked fine, Internet speed OK. Now guess what: I did a system image backup, then restored this image and now my internet-speed again is creepy 70 bytes/sec.
As I do not know how to proceed, I would appreciate any idea, to get my internet speed to the normal 12.000 Kbytes/sec again. Thanks in advance for all suggestions.

PS: I use an Asus-Board (P5WDG2) with an Marvell Gigabyte network connection, all drivers installed, W7 shows connection is OK.
