Media Server My Computer=Choppy, His computer=Fine

Was not sure if this was a Windows media Question or not. Forgive me if i am posting in the wrong section.

Like the title says, when streaming video from my computer onto the PS3, the videos feeze for a few seconds and then continue over and over. i guess you would call this "choppy". However, when videos are streamed from my roommates computer, they play just fine.

When googling this problem, all i got was WiFi vs Wired solutions. But i don't understand why it would work for my roommates computer and not mine if we are both using wifi....

it puzzles me.

Are you streaming the same video file? Try the exact same file and see if that makes any difference.

What security software do you both use?

I tested it wis 3 video files. a regular quality video, a 720, and a 1080. All three worked fine coming from his computer. When streaming them from my computer, the regular quality was fine, the 720 played but had a lot of freezing/unfreezing spats, the 1080 wasn't playable. It was too choppy

Hmmm, do you have any other problems accessing the internet or slow network speeds on your device?

What type of Wireless network adapter do you have?
What driver version do you have?
What AV are you using (what others have ever been installed)?
