Without a name and model I don't know who can help you. If you lease it from your provider, they should be able to help or even send a tech to set it up for you.

    Hello,

    In addition....
Do you have all the ethernet cables plugged in to the right ports? From your ADSL modem, an ethernet cable needs to be plugged in to the router's Internet or WAN port then the other ports are for your computers to be plugged in.

A Power Cycle always helps. Also, you will need to find out if your ISP requires a Mac Cloning enabled, this is visible in your router's setting.

Another thing, check the settings in your router and see if you can locate and see all the IPs (both Public-assigned by your ISP and Private IPs - usually it's 192.168.X.X). If you can't see any of these, there's a problem there.

Some Tutorials here on How Setup a router to an ADSL Modem:

    Some troubleshooting guide here.

The above general Tutorials are provided to you without knowing the exact make and model of your devices and they should be of helped. An update will be appreciated.

Great to hear that a hard reset resolved your issue.
