Hi folks,
Help! My recently installed W7RTM Home Premium x64 box won't connect via Remote Desktop Connection to an existing W7RC box (my HTPC) that has a password-free account.
I've been able to connect to the HTPC account (without password) from my other computers (Vista, XP, W7RC) without any problem. I'm on it right now in fact from an XP laptop. So, the HTPC is set up to allow connections without password fine.
Something seems to have changed in the CLIENT on Windows 7 RTM. It shows me the logon screen, and I've got the correct user name there (even with the correct icon!), and when I try to authenticate it gives me a username/password error. From the RTM machine I can connect to an account that has a password, but I need to be able to get into the account that has no password. WAF issues are involved; putting a password onto the account is not an option.
I haven't had this problem with RDP / RDC before.
Any help appreciated!
Marc
