Windows Vista shared printer and Windows 7 workstations connection err
Hello there,
I have a pc with win. vista 32bit who has attached to it a Konika Minolta Bizhub 163 copier (who does not have a network card).
All computers on the network that are running windows xp or vista, 32bit or 64bit are connecting and printing without problems but the machines that are running windows 7 32bit or 64bit are not.
Windows 7 machines, are able to connect to the shares on that machine, read or write files, can see the shared printer but when it comes to connecting to it they all fail with the same error: Could not connect to printer, error 0x0000000d.
I've tried defining a local port with the name address of the printer, ip port with the ip of the print server, i have been searching the microsoft database and nothing i found so far didn't help me.
The fun part is that they all worked fine before but suddenly windows 7 machines stopped printing.
In that day or previous days, the print server did not installed any updates (has updating feature turned off), nobody did anything to it, neither to the other machines (actually they all had updating feature turned off, because we do not love microsoft "fixes" and blue screens).
So, any suggestions for me from the community?
