how is your internet speed? except rapidshare with 200 kb (or only 1kb), how is the speed with other sites? or data transfer between computers?
maybe your speed is in general not as high as you expect and something with the network installation went wrong..

Hmmm what are you trying to share or get a share of?

I don't want to be startn sumtin, but apart from sharing of files and things through Workgroup (and sharing internet connections at home), the rest is sortof

Btw, Rapidshare downloads or uploads are throttled at Rapidshare's end.

Same problem here. Whether it's with Rapidshare Manager, Orbit or via their site, it's all the same. Hope Rapidshare support can get back to me with something that works.

Look at the rubbish I got from their support team.

    Hello,

the speed our customers receive, depends on the connectivity of their Internet
Provider to the global Carriers RapidShare.com is directly connected to.

In simple terms Carriers are the backbone of the Internet, providing the
infrastructure for the world wide web (for example deep-sea
    fibre-optic-cables, connecting continents).

With RapidShare.com customers have the possibility to choose the Carrier which
has the best connectivity to their ISP (this can not be determined by
    RapidShare.com).
The different Carriers are listed as Server Systems. The random selection will
automatically redirect the data through the Carrier which is detected by
RapidShare.com to have the lowest usage at that moment.
Kindly note that not every ISP is connected to all of our supported Carriers.
For information to your ISP's supported Carriers, please contact your ISP.

If you are not happy with the speed you are receiving please try another
Server System (Carrier) like Telia Sonera, Level 3, Cogent, etc.
If possible even try another PC or Browser and compare the configurations of
    both systems.

In general the random option is the best option for non IT professionals.

Speed issues can also be caused by:

    - Limitations by Network Administrators
    - Settings of Security Software
    - ISP limitations or bottlenecks
    - Browser settings (Cookies/Cache handling)

Unfortunately these points can not be supported by RapidShare.com

We have enough bandwidth capacities to handle all customer requests with high
    speed.
We do not have any filters applied to reduce the bandwidth usage for Premium
    Users.

Weh hope this information will help you resolve the problem you are having.

    Best regards,

    Thomas
