Asus laptop requires turning off & on the router to get Wifi working?

    Hi
ASUS laptop use to show up connected to home wifi when ever turned on has stopped working in the last three days.
In the last three days and continuing.. if I want the WiFi connection on this laptop, I had to turn off my home router[WiFi] and then turn on. This will get my laptop on my home WiFi .
I have got all the latest updates for Win 7 on this laptop.
I tried to sign out of the WiFi and signed back but not resolved my issue with the connection.
Once get connected by turning off & on at the wall of my router, it works perfectly.

Can anybody advice me to resolve this problem.
    Regards

Sounds like you need a driver update for your Wifi Adapter i would go to the ASUS site and check if they have any updates for your particular machine

If that doesn't fix the issue you might need to do a system restore to where it was working also check if the protocol has been changed from Wifi to fixed connection

Yes other devices get connected ok[My daughter has a Mac Book Air that connects ok]

No error code seen when turn on the laptop, but no wifi. I have to turn off the Router at the wall and turn it on-now the laptop wifi shows up connected.

Find the manufacturer Device Manager - Finding Unknown Devices
Why do you think it's a win7 software driver problem?

Is wifi signal gone, or are you connected (and it is not working)? Try to disconnect and connect to router.

That would have to come down to the one you have installed you need to look in device manager and verify the name of the driver before updating it the name should be under current set up
