    How Manage LAN Sharing


    Hi there.

    I have small LAN network, 12 PCs connected with 2 switchs and shared internet connection between them.

    My problem is :
    I want PC 1 and PC 2 FULL SHARING ALL THE DRIVES on both PCs, but only selected for PC 3 ad PC 4 only.
    As long as I knew, within one network with the same local IP address the other PCs is able to view and edit the shared drives. CMIIW please.

    My questions :
    1. How to manage the shared PC (PC 1 and 2) so it can only be viewed by the selected PC (PC 3 and 4 only) and the other PC unable to connect or view the shared drives? But still the PC 1 and 2 get the shared internet connection.
    2. Is there using trick or maybe using third party apps to manage it?

    Hi Raditz,

    For Windows 7 computers, follow this Tutorial it's has been simplified by Microsoft. You may choose the Users in your network what type of permissions you have to grant them.

    For mixed operating systems, you will need to have a Workgroup network, please start here then a great Tutorial here on sharing files.
