    Forgotten Network Password

I've forgotten the password to my Wi-Fi network (old age sucks). Is there any way I can retrieve that?

The first thing to try is log into the router/wireless access point and see if it shows in that interface.

    How do I do that?

See the step 6 for running ipconfig:
(you do not need the "/all" parameter)
Basic Requirements Before Posting your Networking Thread

Once you get those returns, locate the default gateway IP address.

Then "surf" to that address using your browser of choice.

You will probably be asked for a user/password...
...if you have not set one, tell us the make/model of the router/WAP.

Never mind a senile old lady. I just remembered I had changed the password a while back when I was having problems with someone hijacking my Wi-Fi; I even wrote it down. As I said, old age sucks.

Thanks for your patience and help.

Not a problem - but you really should check to see if you can get into the router's (WAP's?) interface. You should change that router/WAP password to something other than the default one.

I already did that shortly after I changed the Wi-Fi's password. Thanks!

    You are welcome.

Good to hear that you changed that too - since someone was getting onto your Wi-Fi.
