Windows 7 dropping Lan connection with connect to NAS
Over the last 8 weeks every time I tried to transfer huge files (many gigabytes in size) to my freenas server, the LAN adaptor on the pc works for a bit but then suddenly crashes and loses the connection.
When it crashes I ask Windows 7 to fix it and it does but when I try again to transfer huge files (many gigabytes in size) to my freenas server, the LAN adaptor on the pc again works for a bit but then suddenly crashes and loses the connection.
This has happened countless times and I can't use my freenas PC as backup machine.
if I don't transfer huge files across then the LAN controller is fine, i can see stuff on the freenas server, i can also use the internet with no problems.
But I want to backup my PC to my freenas server.
Hope some one can help.

if I connected my PC direct to my freenas server could this fix the problem ?....
Could the problem be my router not being able to handle so much data going through it ?
