Because Notepad is limited, with pictures, styles and formats ECT..
I assume most people have Word on the PC. Here is a link to some free software witch allows you to view .docx extensions.
There's no link in your post.

It's hard to believe that no one on this forum can offer me any help with this issue.
But it appears to be true.

Safe mode, even with networking, does not initially load wireless card drivers and therefore cannot be used to connect to a wireless network. If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7, there is an option to turn on wireless drivers while in safe mode.

So you are using a wired connection and it fails to connect? When you hover over the network icon in the system tray what does it say? This can help us determine if it is a service issue or a different issue regarding drivers or other related software.

    Hi Josh,

It shows a red cross and says no internet connection and yes it's a wired connection.

Just a quick question, are you able to access Network and Sharing Center? Follow step 1 of this tutorial and let me know whether or not it launches:

Network Name and Icon - Change

    Many Thanks,
    Josh :)
