Explorer in Win 7 does not show column headings needed

I have an issue viewing a network share that is on a Win XP system(XP SP3 32 bit). The files that I need to see are .mpg files(TV commercials). We have always used columns on the XP system to enter Subject ,Title and Author data for tracking commercials.
When I set up Windows Explorer in Windows 7 (sp 1 32 bit)to view Subject, Title & Authors columns(Details view) I do not see any information in these fields. Is there a way to make this show up in Win 7 Explorer or is there anothe 3rd party software that will do this.
Both systems are on the same workgroup.
I have attached snips of the Xp Explorer and the Win 7 Explorer

If a fix for this exists, could someone point me to it??

    Thank you,

I think you are referring to the Property Page Details Tab in XP that let you add those comments. For some reason only known in Redmond, this feature was removed in Vista and later.

I have written several "file commenting" utilities over the years. None of them work as I would like because the functionality should really be incorporated in the file system. There are some File Managers that have commenting features. You would need to search if that support includes reading XP type detail comments over the network.

Try Directory Opus and any file manager with "Commander" in the name.
