    "investigate router or broadband modem issues" when others can connect


    at a coffee shop I frequently have the message on the troubleshooter "investigate router or broadband modem issues" when trying to connect to their public wifi 80% of visits when others can connect and access their internet including my Android phone. they try resetting the router but didn't work. but everybody else there can connect just fine but me! what is wrong and how do I fix??

    Time for some details. Update your system specs, gather info re: your network card, it's settings, etc... and post here. Run ipconfig from a command prompt, at the coffee shop, and post the results here.

Hello All When using windows 7, there's the option of connecting automatically to the wireless router. If I take my laptop to a friend's house and select automatically connect there, will that delete my own router's details at home?
